Social Studies

First grade social studies serves as a general introduction to
many important concepts that will be further developed in later
grades. Our learning activities in this realm are centered on the
following topics: School, Myself, Friends, Family, Pioneers, Maps, and Neighborhoods. We also study the six pillars of the Character
Counts program: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility,
Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
