Information/Routines

Snack- Please send a small, healthy snack for your child everyday.  Examples include apples, grapes, carrot sticks, pretzels, or wheat crackers- nothing that needs special preparation or makes a mess.  I will provide cups for water.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at rrapoport@glenview34.org

Birthdays-  Our school has a no-food policy for birthdays.  If you would like to donate a book to our classroom library, your child can present it to the class on his/her special day.

Book Orders- Book orders will be sent home once a month (except for November-we have a school book fair).  I will send a note with the due date as well.  Please send a Check and Order Form back to school in an envelope labeled with your child’s name. 

Star Student- All students will have an opportunity to be the star student for one week. They can bring in items and pictures from home and share stories or hobbies with the class.  Please do not send anything valuable or fragile.

Take-Home Folders-  I will send home a take home folder each day.  Please look for notes, permission slips, homework, and finished work that your child brings home (I will also post important notes and newsletters online).  Any notes for me or the office should be placed in the folder for your child to bring back to school the following day.

“Walker” Notes- If you plan on having alternate transportation for your child after school, you must send a note that morning so that we can notify the office and arrange for safe transportation of all our students.
