Our Spring Photos

The students in Miss Kalogeropoulos’ 2nd grade class participated in an extraordinary service project this January. Students worked together with their families to raise money for Heifer International, a global charity that fights world hunger by providing needy families with animals and training to help them generate extra income for better nutrition, education, and healthcare.  As each family passes on the gift to others in need, entire communities are transformed by the hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Altogether, the class raised $500. The children voted to buy: 1 water buffalo, 1 goat, 1 honeybee hive, 3 bunnies, and 2 flocks of chickens. The Heifer International Service project was truly a meaningful experience for all of us in room 21.
