At Lyon School, we work with students whose academic and/or social-emotional development is impacted by difficulties with communication skills. On a regualr basis, meet with classroom teachers in order to integrate the speech-language goals with the curriculum.

Speech-language services through the Pupil Services Team at Lyon Sschool address these four primary areas of communication:
1)Speech or Articulation
We work with students who have speech production errors that are not developmental in nature or a dialectical difference.
2)Language
We work with students who have difficulty with the understanding and/or use of language, such as sentence formulation, listening skills, vocabulary acquisition, and word finding skills.
3)Voice
We work with students who need improvement in vocal pitch, loudness, or quality.
4)Fluency
We work with students who exhibit difficulty with either the rate or rhythm of speech, such as stuttering.
