Thanks
to everyone who supported our presentation and
poster session at IL-TCE 2006. This site will remain
active
as a resource for you and your staff. Please check
back as additional resources will be added. As
requested by
some of our "attendees", an intergration
link is in the works of the examples that we presented
in the resource
binder. Remember, we can be reached via email.
Welcome to Igniting
the Technology Spark within Your Curriculum!
Finding the time, resources and support to effectively
integrate technology into
your
curriculum in meaningful and engaging ways is a challenge.
Here are some suggestions to get you started:
- Use technology
(silly, right? But it is not - be a model and use technology
when you can)
- Be willing and
open to learning new things
- Find your resource people
- Promote student
responsibility
- Focus on cooperative,
project based and interdisciplinary work with tech
just being new
of the many tools that
students use
Bernie
Poole, Ed Tech
Professor identifies six essential technology skills that ever
teacher should possess or acquire
- Proficient in the use
of productivity tools
- Simple troubleshooting
- Web resources
- Search skills
- Interest and Flexibility
