What flickr hopes to do..."We want to help people make their
photos available to the people who matter to them. Flickr is
the WD-40 that makes it easy to get photos from one person
to another in whatever way you want. We want to enable new
ways of organizing photos."

flickr in the classroom
for literacy?
Organize
your photos to share with your students' families ; family
and friends could ask questions about the photos. Students
would need to verbalize and explain content. Parents could
fill out an at home assessment provided by the teacher of
student's language skills at various stages in the school
year.
Students
can access photos in your classroom flickr account on any
computer in the building or at home for writing assignemnts
| Examples: Field Trip Photos, Current Event Photo, Writing
a Caption to a Photo

del.i.cio.us
-del.icio.us is a social bookmarking website -- the primary
use of del.icio.us is to store your bookmarks online, which
allows you to access the same bookmarks from any computer
and add bookmarks from anywhere, too. On del.icio.us, you
can use tags to organize and remember your bookmarks, which
is a much more flexible system than folders.
del.i.cio.us in the classroom
for literacy?
Teacher can save sites for student
access anywhere any time!
Students can post to del.i.cio.us classroom account.
Teacher can "assign" topics to research using educational web
site content searching and students would locate and save sites
that meet criteria to a del.i.cio.us page.
